BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott senior midfielder Sydney Poulin (Watertown, Mass.) and junior defender Claire Boncek (Hamilton, Conn.) have been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Last week against Salve Regina (9/25), Poulin recorded the first hat trick of her career on Saturday, as she helped lead Endicott past Salve Regina, 7-0. Poulin scored two goals in the first half, starting the offense with the first goal of the game 10 minutes into the first quarter. She added another early in the second quarter and completed her hat trick five minutes into the second half. Poulin now leads the Gulls with five goals on the year.
As for Boncek, she was a key component to the Endicott's defensive unit that held opponents to just one goal this week in two contests. The Gulls defense was so strong that it allowed just nine total shots and four goals on-target over the two games. Additionally, Endicott only conceded two penalty corners.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (4-3) will visit Springfield on Wednesday, September 29 at 7 PM.
