BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team dominated in their season opener against WPI, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at North Field.
Jenna Seibold (Reading, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls' offense with a pair of goals (2nd period, 27:45 | 3rd period, 33:01), while Sydney Poulin (Watertown, Mass.) netted the first goal of the year (1st period, 10:27) for Endicott in the win.
Meanwhile, goalkeepers Taylor Farrin (Danvers, Mass.) and Allison Wales (Southport, Conn.) split time in cage to secure the shutout. Farrin, who started, stopped two shots to register her 53rd career victory.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Poulin scored her 24th career goal.
- Seibold scored her first two career goals.
- Endicott has won its last six straight season openers.
