BEVERLY, Mass. — The second-seeded Endicott field hockey team (11-6) will take on third-seeded Western New England (11-5) today in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament semifinal round at 6 PM at North Field. Here's a preview of today's matchup.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- This is Endicott's 10th straight season playing in the CCC Semifinals.
- The Gulls shut out the Golden Bears in the regular season meeting between the two programs this year, 3-0 (10/9/21).
- Endicott has won three consecutive CCC semifinal games (3-0).
- Western New England finished its regular season with a .500 record away from home (5-5 road, 6-0 home).
- This is the third time these two programs have collided in the CCC Tournament in school history (2-1, W, 10/27/07 | L 2-3, 11/2/16).
WHAT'S NEXT
The winner of today's contest will advance to the CCC Championship game against either No. 1 University of New England (10-6) or No. 5 Roger Williams (9-8) on Saturday, November 6 at the highest remaining seed (start time TBA).
