WENHAM, Mass. – Endicott College ran its winning streak to six games as the Gulls took a pair from cross town rival Gordon College, 3-1 and 17-3, on Wednesday afternoon in Wenham, Mass. The league-leading Gulls move to 13-1 in TCCC play with the victories and are now 19-9 overall. Gordon falls to 10-16 overall and is 4-12 in league play.

Righthanders Rob Hinckley and \#Nick Kelley\# (Malden, Mass.) were locked in an excellent pitching duel in game one. The Gulls got on top in the second inning when \#Mike Russo\# (Natick, Mass.) and \#Joe Klein\# (Monroe, Conn.) lofted consecutive sac flies to stake Endicott to a 2-0 lead. The Blue and Green scratched across another run in the fifth inning when \#Robbie Goldstick\# (Deerfield, Ill.) reached on an error and scored on an RBI groundout from \#Eric Lemke\# (Southington, Conn.).

After five scoreless innings from Kelley, Endicott's \#Brendan Pittsley\# (Plympton, Mass.) came on to close the game. Gordon finally broke through in the seventh when Eric Wolak singled to right and scored on Chris Moran's pinch-hit double to left center. However, Pittsley induced a groundout from Schaeffer Kuzman, and the game ended when Goldstick made a nice backhanded stop on a smash from Aaron Whittet and threw across for the putout.

Kelley moved to 4-1 with the victory, while Hinckley was the hard luck loser, dropping to 2-2.

Endicott jumped ahead 2-0 in the second game on three consecutive singles from \#Ralph Fidaleo\# (Fairfield, Conn.), \#Colin Sitarz\# (West Hartford, Conn.) and \#Aaron Santos\# (Cambridge, Mass.). The Scots loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth, but Gulls’ \#Kevin Dupras\# (Belchertown, Mass.) pitched his way out of the jam by inducing a groundout to get out of trouble.

Leading 2-0 in the fifth, Endicott exploded for four runs in the top of the fifth, three in the sixth, and eight in the seventh. The offensive fireworks again came from the middle of the order as Fidaleo, Sitarz, and Santos had consecutive hits in the fifth. \#Rob Valair\# (Norwood, Mass.) and \#Mike Barbati\# (Melrose, Mass.) both smashed three-run homeruns in the seventh inning.

Dupras limited the Gordon offense to just five hits over six innings. The Scots’ scoring came in the bottom of the fifth when they took advantage of a balk and two Endicott miscues, sandwiched around hits by Kuzman and Kefalas.

Gordon shortstop Stephen Kefalas continued his hot hitting, extending his hit streak to 17 games. Kefalas also tied Gordon's single season RBI mark with 30.

The Scots will look to get back on the winning track on Saturday when they host New England College at 2:00 p.m. Endicott will host Suffolk in non-conference play on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
