Gulls’ Offense Erupts Behind Mueskes In 6-0 Win Over Nichols

BEVERLY, Mass. – Behind a two-goal effort from senior midfielder Ashley Mueskes (Georgetown, Mass.), the Endicott women's soccer team earned a key league victory on Friday night over Nichols College with a 6-0 decision against the Bison at Endicott Stadium.

Mueskes scored one goal in each half to pace the offense, while Alexandra Burgess (Hebron, Conn.), Madison McKinley (Shrewsbury, Mass.), Rachel Hanna (Chelmsford, Mass.), and Sharlotte Pernice (West Springfield, Mass.) also found the scoring column in the win.

Mueskes put the Gulls on the scoreboard just 7:11 into the contest with a long drive from the top of the box that found the lower left corner of the net to give the hosts some much needed momentum.

Burgess, who was credited with an assist on Mueskes' first tally of the evening, proceeded to capitalize on the early momentum for Endicott with her team-leading third goal of the season (unassisted) under ten minutes later to grab a quick 2-0 advantage.

McKinley followed with her first marker of the year at 29:24 for a 3-0 lead and the Gulls never looked back.

Along with its strong play upfront in the opening 45 minutes of action, Endicott's defense shined as well as the Gulls only allowed one shot in the first half – and just two total in the game.

  • Endicott's six goals today are the most the Gulls have scored since their 7-0 win over Salve Regina last season on Saturday, October 18.
