Murphy Earns ECAC All-Star Nod

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has released its 2014 Division III New England Women's Lacrosse All-Star teams. Senior Callie Murphy (Woburn, Mass.) has been honored and named as a, First Team All-Star for the first time in her career as she exits her four years as a key contributor to the Endicott women's lacrosse team.

Helping lead the Gulls to their ninth consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship this spring the senior tri-captain was named the CCC Co-Offensive Player of the Year. Murphy lead the team in points (87) and assists (45) while consistently being a play maker for the Blue and Green offence having a 71.1 shot on goal percentage. The attacker also posed a strong midfield game this season picking up 18 groundballs, and 15 caused turnovers while being tired for first in draw controls (69).

The Gulls (14-4, 7-1 CCC) wrapped up their season in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament after claiming the programs ninth straight CCC title over Roger Williams in a 14-13 buzzer beater victory. Murphy had a huge hand in that contest as she tallied the game tying goal with 19 seconds remaining in the game and then dishing out the game winning assist as time expired to secure the victory.

The voting for the 2014 ECAC Division III New England Women's Lacrosse All-Star teams and major award winners was completed by the head coaches within the ECAC Division III New England Women's Lacrosse membership.
