INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The field of 36 for the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament was announced on Sunday evening and the Endicott women's lacrosse team drew #9 Middlebury for a  Second Round show down. Endicott (14-3, 7-1) earned an automatic bid into the upcoming NCAA tournament after claiming the programs ninth consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) title after junior Siri Mason (Williamstown, Mass.) beat the buzzer to secure the 14-13 victory over Roger Williams.

The Panthers earned an At-Large bid into the tournament after being knocked out of the NESCAC Quarterfinals by #11 Colby. Middlebury (11-5) makes its 20th appearance in the last 21 years in the national tournament.

Both squads have earned a place in the NCAA New England Regional Rankings as Middlebury is placed at #5 while the Gulls sit at #9.

Endicott and Middlebury met for the first time last season in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Blue and Green earned the programs first victory in the national tournament in a 4-3 triumph over Springfield before falling to the Panthers in the Second Round 13-4 at Middlebury.

The Blue and Green will travel to Middlebury on Saturday, May 10th where Endicott will look to take on the NESCAC foe. The Gulls have competed against three NESCAC opponents this season falling to Tufts and Bowdoin and taking down Bates.

Four first-round games will be conducted on Wednesday, May 7 with the winners advancing to the second round. Sixteen second-round games will be conducted on Saturday, May 10 with the winners advancing to one of four regional sites May 17-18. Winners of the four regionals will advance to the semifinals and final, which take place May 24 and 25 at Clark Field in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Gettysburg will serve as host for the championship.
