BEVERLY, Mass.- The Endicott Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Morgan Maciewicz as the new head coach of the women's lacrosse program. Maciewicz inherits a program that has dominated Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play over the last decade, having won nine consecutive CCC titles and having posted a regular season record of 75-6 over that stretch. The first year head coach takes over for previous coach Meghan Fitzgerald who stepped down after six years in the position and has moved permanently to the Office of Admission.
Maciewicz arrives at Endicott with an impressive coaching resume already established. Most recently she served as the graduate assistant at Springfield College. With the Pride, she was individually responsible for all defensive coordination and goalkeeper coaching, while also assisting with recruiting, scouting and practice planning amongst other duties.
Prior to her stint at Springfield, Maciewicz served as both the assistant women's lacrosse coach and assistant field hockey coach at Middlebury from 2010 through 2013. With the women's lacrosse program, Maciewicz assisted the head coach with all aspects of the program and was individually responsible for coaching the goaltenders, video break down and analysis, spring trip planning and team blogging. During her tenure, the Middlebury women's lacrosse team advanced to two NCAA Division III Final Fours (2012 & 2013) while her players earned such accolades as NCAA Division III National Goalkeeper of the Year, three National All-Americans, five IWLCA All-Region players, two First Team All-NESCAC players and NESCAC Rookie of the Year. Not to be outdone, the Middlebury field hockey team experienced comparable success as the team advanced to the 2011 NCAA Championship game while her players received numerous accolades.

Coach Fitzgerald will certainly be difficult to replace, but Coach Maciewicz has the coaching and playing experience, along with the commitment in the academic development of the student-athlete, to make her time here extremely exciting for the Gulls!"
Outside of her collegiate coaching experience, Maciewicz has also coached in the club ranks and at camps. Her club experience came with Lax+ Lacrosse Club from 2013 to the present where she served as head club lacrosse coach. During her time with Lax+, she has designed and implemented practices and coaching strategies while also providing guidance and exposure for players who were involved in the Division I, II and III college recruiting processes. In addition, Maciewicz also served as the director and coach of a youth lacrosse program for first through third graders in the Middlebury, Vt. area that was designed to teach the sport and promote physical activity.
Maciewicz received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Economics from Bates College in 2010. During her tenure at Bates, she achieved Dean's List honors in the classroom and enjoyed extensive success in multiple sports as an athlete. A dual sport athlete having played both lacrosse and field hockey, Maciewicz served as a captain for both programs during her senior campaign and achieved All-Region honors in both sports. For lacrosse, she was a two-time IWLCA All-Region Second Team performer and currently ranks second all-time in Bates history in career assists with 50. Maciewicz also received All-Region Second Team honors for field hockey in 2009.
