BEVERLY, Mass. — The top-seeded Endicott women's tennis team defeated No. 4 Gordon, 5-0, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinals on Thursday evening at the South Campus Courts.
In doubles, the hosts raced out to a 3-0 advantage prior to singles play.
At No. 2, Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.) / Olivia Martinelli (Coral Springs, Fla.) produced an 8-3 victory, while the Gulls' top duo consisting of Ripley Uyeda (Ranchos Palos Verdes, Calif.) / Lejla Guster (Wethersfield, Conn.) turned in another 8-3 win at No. 1.
The pairing of Shelby Henry (Lincoln, Neb.) / Samantha Hartmann (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.) manufactured a hard-earned 8-6 triumph at No. 3 to complete the sweep.
In singles, No. 4 Keaveney and No. 2 Martinelli helped Endicott punch its ticket to the CCC Championship via scores of 6-2, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-2, respectively.
