Women's Tennis Falls At Bates, 9-0

LEWISTON, Maine — The Endicott women's tennis team fell to Bowdoin, 9-0, on Tuesday afternoon at the Wallach Tennis Center.

Bates and Endicott battled in doubles but the Bobcats were able to take a 3-0 advantage to singles and never looked back.

Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.) and Olivia Martinelli (Coral Springs, Fla.) showed plenty of grit at No. 2 doubles, as they would fall 8-7 (7-3). 

In singles, Martinelli continued the good play at No. 3, as she won the first set 6-4, before dropping the next two 6-0, and 10-2.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Bobcats are now 3-0 all-time versus Endicott.
  • The Gulls are now 3-6 on the road this season.

Endicott (11-9) finishes out its regular season when they host UMass-Boston on Thursday, May 2 at 3 PM. Bates (4-11) welcomes conference opponent, No. 13 Amherst, to campus on Saturday, April 27 at 2 PM.
