Beverly, MA-- In today's soccer match up, the EC Gulls defeated Commonwealth Coast Conference member, Anna Maria College by a score of 9-0. Eight different players scored in the win.

EC was on the scoreboard early at the 45 second mark. Finishing a loose ball in the box, freshman Margreta Weber shot the ball into the back of the net.

"Today marks a celebration of the tremendous work ethic these seniors have exhibited each day they stepped onto the field."

A little under eight minutes later, senior co-captain Leah Walters scored for the Gulls, giving EC a 2-0 advantage.

EC continued to put pressure on the AMC defense. Freshman Kelly Dillon would assist the next two goals by EC. The first assist was on Jillian Zagura's goal in the 25th minute. Five minutes later, Dillion's second assist was on freshman Paula McGinn's one of two goals in the match. Senior defender, Lauren Suarez scored her first collegiate goal in the 32nd minute of play, giving EC a comfortable 5-0 lead at the half.

Senior co-captain Katrina Perkins started the scoring off in the second half, finding the back of the net in the 54th minute. Receiving a pass from a selfless Leah Walters, Perkins scored her first goal of the season. Caitlin D'Amario scored her third goal of the season minutes later on an unassisted goal. Junior Beth Walker tallied her first goal of the season, by hitting upper 90 in the 70th minute. Capping the score at nine, Paula scored her second goal of the game. Paula flicked an Amy Stevens cross off her head and into the goal.

Before the match, the five seniors, Stacey Lubas, Sarah Nichols, Leah, Lauren and Katrina were recognized for their efforts and dedication to the EC women's soccer team. "As we look back at the past four years, what we reflect upon is how hard the seniors competed and how much they care about Endicott Soccer," Head Coach Dina Gentile reflects. "I am pleased with the team effort today because that is exactly what these seniors envisioned on their special day."

EC travels to cross-town rival, and CCC member, Gordon College this Tuesday. Kick off is 3:00pm.
