Men’s Volleyball Downs SUNY Potsdam, 3-1

POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated SUNY Potsdam, 3-1, by scores of 16-25, 25-17, 25-23, and 25-10 in conference action on Saturday evening at Maxcy Field House.

Rafa Robert (San Juan, Puerto Rico) posted a match-high 16 kills on 22 swings (.636) to go along with six digs, one ace, and one block assist.

The Gulls also saw Mason Mallory (Playa del Rey, Calif.), Nikolas Kasprzak (Windham, N.H.), and Dean Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.) pummel home 12 (.300), nine (.533), and eight (.273) kills, respectively.

Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.) ran the offense, which hit .388 on the day, via 44 assists (.494).

Today's match featured 15 ties (3-8-4-0) and six lead changes (2-2-2-0).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 2-0 all-time against SUNY Potsdam (both 3-1 victories).
  • Kasprzak compiled a career-high 10 blocks (two solo, eight assisted).
  • That figure is tied for first all-time in a four-set match.
