Men’s Volleyball Stymies Eastern Nazarene, 3-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Eastern Nazarene, 3-1, by scores of 28-26, 25-20, 16-25, and 25-20 in conference action on Wednesday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Nikolas Kasprzak (Windham, N.H.), Dean Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.), Rafa Robert (San Juan, Puerto Rico), and Mason Mallory (Playa del Rey, Calif.) all posted double-digit kills in the victory.

Kasprzak led the group with a career-high 15 kills (.500), while Warner (12), Robert (11), and Mallory (10) followed in respective order.

Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.) orchestrated the offensive to a season-high .303 hitting percentage (four sets) behind 46 assists (.495).

Tonight's match featured 32 ties (6-10-8-8) and 14 lead changes (2-6-2-4).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Warner notched a career-high 12 kills.
  • Senior libero Brian Wightman (Las Vegas, Nev.) was nails from the back row going a perfect 25-for-25 on serve-receive. 
  • Thirteen of his receptions also led to kills (.520).
  • Kasprzak logged his fourth double-digit kill match this season.
  • Endicott is 10-0 all-time against Eastern Nazarene.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (8-9, 4-0 NECC) visits SUNY Potsdam on Saturday, April 1 at 1 PM. Eastern Nazarene (12-11, 2-2 NECC) travels to Northern Vermont-Johnson for a pair of matches this Saturday (1/3 PM).
