Men’s Volleyball Drops Season Opener At Cal Lutheran, 3-1

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — The Endicott men's volleyball team fell to Cal Lutheran, 3-1, by scores of 16-25, 26-24, 18-25, and 20-25 on Saturday evening at Gilbert Arena.

Nikolas Kasprzak (Windham, N.H.) paced the Gulls with 13 kills on 19 swings (.632).

Spencer Capps (Lake Bluff, Ill.) and Rafa Robert (San Juan, Puerto Rico) also contributed eight kills apiece, while Brady Mullens (Aurora, Colo.) produced seven kills on 11 swings (.455).

Meanwhile, Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.) facilitated the attack via 34 assists.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Both teams are receiving votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Preseason Poll.
  • Tonight's match featured 29 ties (1-0 | 2-7 | 3-10 | 4-12) and 13 lead changes (1-0 | 2-5 | 3-4 | 4-4).
