Beverly, MA - For the second year in a row, the EC men's volleyball team will take a trip to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship. The Gulls earned one of four bids, following the conclusion of their regular season. As the 4th seed, EC takes on the 1st seed, and host Rivier College at 10:00a.m. this Saturday in Nashua, NH.
EC looks to seek revenge against Rivier, as the Gulls were knocked out of the ECAC Tournament last year by RC. This season, the Gulls post an overall record of 20-9, 13-5 in the NECVA. "I am very excited that we qualified for the ECAC's for the second year in a row," Head Coach Tim Byram said. "I am proud of what this team has been able to accomplish in spite of the obstacles we have faced."
SUNY New Paltz earned the 2nd seed, while Newbury College holds the 3rd seed. The two teams match-up in the second semifinal contest, which follows the EC vs. Rivier game. The semifinal winners compete for the ECAC Championship Title at 3:00p.m.
