Men’s Tennis Downs Suffolk On Senior Day, 8-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's tennis team defeated Suffolk, 8-1, in conference action on Saturday afternoon at the South Campus Tennis Courts.

Prior to the match, Will Bierwirth (Hingham, Mass.) and Brennan Nick (Tolland, Conn.) were honored for their contributions to the program and the Endicott community in a Senior Day ceremony.

The duo teamed up at No. 1 doubles and earned a hard-fought 8-7 (8-6) victory to help the Gulls complete the sweep headed into singles action.

Brayden Allen (North Kingstown, R.I.) / Aaron Terpko (Shrewsbury, Mass.) posted an 8-2 win at No. 2, while Matt Mittleman (Loudonville, N.Y.) / James Zeolie (Amherst, N.H.) notched an 8-7 (7-4) triumph at No. 3 to conclude the doubles scores.

In singles, Bierwirth completed a perfect 2-0 Senior Day with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 6.

Kadel followed with a 7-5, 6-1 triumph at No. 1 to clinch the match, while Mittleman (No. 5, 4-6, 6-2, 10-6), Terpko (No. 2, 3-6, 6-2, 10-7), and Allen (No. 3, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3) also collected wins for the Gulls.

"Today was a fun atmosphere and we're getting valuable reps under our belt," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "I'm stoked we could get a win for Brennan and Will on their senior day, they mean a lot to our program."
