Men’s Tennis Handles Wentworth In Conference Season Opener, 8-1

NATICK, Mass. — The Endicott men's tennis team defeated Wentworth, 8-1, in conference action on Saturday evening at the Longfellow Tennis Club.

Doubles play featured a sweep for the Gulls as the pairings of Brennan Nick (Tolland, Conn.) / Antonio Marsallo (Baldwinsville, N.Y.), Conrad Kadel (Heidelberg, Germany) / Julian Richtarich (Naples, Fla.), and Hudson De Risi (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) / Aaron Terpko (Shrewsbury, Mass.) posted victories at No. 1 (8-4), No. 2 (8-3), and No. 3 (8-1), respectively.

In singles, Terpko earned a swift 6-0, 6-1 triumph at No. 5, while Brayden Allen (North Kingstown, R.I.) produced a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 to clinch the match.

The Gulls also saw Richtarich (No. 4, 6-1, 6-4), De Risi (No. 3, 1-6, 6-2, 10-7), and Oliver Pope (Dartmouth, Mass.) claim victories (No. 2, 6-4, 6-2) in singles play.

"Today was a strong showing from all 14 of our student-athletes, including our exhibition matches and the support from our student-athletes who are currently sidelined," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "We have more work to do, but it was encouraging to see us attack on the level we did today.
