Men’s Tennis Competes At ITA New England Championship

BRUNSWICK, Maine — The Endicott men's tennis team competed in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) New England Championship, hosted by Bowdoin College, on Friday evening.

In doubles, the pairing of Conrad Kadel (Heidelberg, Germany) / Antonio Marsallo (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) fell to Brandeis' duo of Jack Goldstein / Chen Liang by an 8-0 score.

The Judges were ranked No. 23 nationally and No. 8 in the region as a program last year.

Meanwhile, in singles, Kadel dropped his match 6-1, 6-4 to Bowdoin's Pieter Breuker and Marsallo lost to Middlebury's Neel Epstein 6-2, 6-2.

Last season, Bowdoin was ranked No. 14 nationally and No. 4 in the region as a program, while Middlebury checked in at No. 3 nationally and No. 1 in the Northeast.

Hudson De Risi (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) and Oliver Pope (Dartmouth, Mass.) rounded out play for the Gulls in the singles "B Draw" with setbacks against Bowdoin's Mark Kneiss (8-1) and Babson's Sebastian Bucarion (8-7 (7-5).

Babson was ranked No. 32 nationally and No. 12 regionally last season.
