Men’s Tennis Tops Colby-Sawyer, 6-3

ESSEX COUNTY, Mass. – The Endicott men's tennis team earned a hard-fought 6-3 victory over Colby-Sawyer on Saturday evening at the Manchester Athletic Club.

In doubles, Julian Richtarich (Naples, Fla.)/Antonio Marsallo (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) turned in an 8-0 triumph at No. 3, while the duo of Brennan Nick (Tolland, Conn.)/Conrad Kadel (Heidelberg, Germany) posted a gritty 8-7 (7-1) victory at No. 1 to take a 2-1 lead headed into singles.

Richtarich then pushed the Gulls ahead 3-1 with a swift 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 before the Chargers evened up the score with victories at No. 4 and No. 1.

From there, Endicott responded behind the play of Kadel (No. 5, 6-2, 6-1) and George Danes (Old Lyme, Conn.) at No. 2 (7-6 (7-4), 6-3) to clinch the match.

Marsallo also notched a 5-7, 6-4, 10-4 win at No. 3 to round out the scoring for the Gulls.

"We are working on the process, but it also feels good to get a win on the board," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "We played the big moments well today and played with a higher floor."
