Wyman Fires a 77 to Finish 3rd as Gulls Finish 6th at Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational

SUTTON, Mass.-  Jackson Wyman (South Freeport, Maine) shot a 77 to finish in an individual tie for fifth place at the Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational which was held at the Blackstone National Golf Course.  His score led the Gulls to a sixth place finish as a team out of 17 squads.  The senior shot a 37 on the front nine and closed out his round with an even 40 to lift him into a five-way tie for fifth, just three shots behind the top golfer.

Stephen Price (Medway, Mass.) started his 18 holes with a 44 on the front nine and was able to clip off five strokes on the back nine and closed with a 39 for a final score of 83.  His 83 lifted him into a tie for 29th out of 90 individual golfers.  Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) was able to continue his strong play as he finished in a tie for 44th.  The freshman shot identical scores of 43 on his was to a round of 86.  Fellow freshman Brendan Callanan was able to shoot a back nine score of 40 after opening with a 46 to tie with Teal for 44th overall.  Rounding out the scoring for Endicott was Brian Gallo (Trumbull, Conn.).  The sophomore was able to trim four shots off his front nine 48 by recording a 44 on the way in to record a 92 which placed him in 68th overall.

The Gulls finished in the top ten for the fifth straight tournament this spring.  This recent success bodes well for the squad as the team now looks towards the weekend and the upcoming Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship.  Endicott is playing host to the tournament as it will be held at the Beverly Golf and Tennis Club in Beverly, Mass.  The two-day tournament kicks off Saturday and wraps up on Sunday.
