A. Teal & Wyman Lead Gulls to Second Straight CCC Title

BEVERLY, Mass.-  Freshman Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) capped his impressive freshman campaign with medalist honors at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship after shooting rounds of 76 and 74.  Senior Jackson Wyman (South Freeport, Maine) capped his stellar career for the blue and green in similar style as the captain took home second place overall as he helped leads Endicott to their second straight CCC title.

Endicott was able to establish a 12 stroke lead after day one by shooting a combined 312.  Sitting in second was Western New England with 324 followed by Nichols in third with 334 and Wentworth in fourth with 341.  Day two saw Western New England come into the clubhouse strong in the first few fours but Endicott was able to match them and pick up an additional four strokes to secure the 16 stroke victory.  The Gulls shot a 314 on day two which was one strok better than the Bison of Nichols on the day.  The WNE Golden Bears logged a 318 and the Leopards of Wentworth closed with a 344.

Austin Teal and Jackson Wyman finished 1 & t-2 individually overall.  Tied for second with Wyman was Eric Hedberg of WNE.  Colin Whitney of Nichols and Andrew Humley of WNE rounded out the top five.

Endicott's Brian Gallo (Trumbull, Conn.) finished in seventh after recording round of 80 and 82 (162).  Ian Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) and Dan Sullivan (South Hadley, Mass.) closed the scoring for the Gulls as the duo finished in 13th and 14th respectively.  Teal shot a combined 168 as he improved on his opening round of 86 by four shots on the final day.  Sullivan had a strong opening day 80 that was able to help the team establish their 12 stroke cushion.

Austin Teal tied for the low round in the clubhouse on day two with a 74.  Kevin Wheeler of Nichols was able to shave 13 strokes off his first round total of 87 to soar up the charts and finish in sixth.

Jackson Wyman now finishes his career by helping to secure the team's second consecutive CCC title and fourth in program history.  Gulls head coach Tom Smith is now undefeated in CCC Championship play as the second year head coach is a perfect 2-0 in those scenarios.
