Gulls punch ticket into spring CCC Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Endicott men's golf team saw three of their five golfers medal in the top-10 and lead the Gulls to a second place team finish, punching their ticket into the CCC's spring championship.

The top four out of the six teams in the tournament, held at the Veterans Golf Course in Springfield, qualified for the CCC Championship to be held on April 27-28, 2013 at a site to be determined and hosted by Endicott.  

Endicott registered a team score of 309, eight strokes behind Western New England who saw three of their golfers shoot a top score of 75.  Nichols (314) and Wentworth (320)  rounded out the top four.  

Gulls senior Jackson Wyman (South Freeport, Maine) carded a team-low 76 and tied for fourth place with golfers from Western New England and Nichols.  Junior Nick Erlichman (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and freshman Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) each came in one stroke behind Wyman with a 77.  

Juniors Ian Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) and Jack Carroll (West Hartford, Conn.) scored 79 and 82, respectively, to complete the Endicott scoring in the qualifier.
