Jake Rand Leads Gull to a 10th Place Tie at UMD Invitational

Dartmouth, Mass.-  The Endicott men's golf team finished in the middle of the pack as they tied for 10th place at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at the Allendale Country Club.  Sophomore Jake Rand (Winthrop, Mass.) tied for 15th individually out of 100 golfers as he shot a 78, just six strokes out of first place.

The Gulls completed their round with a combined total of 324.  Senior Jackson Wyman (South Freeport, Maine) and freshman Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) were the other team golfers that finished in the top 40.  Wyman continued his play as a leader and registered a final score of 81 which tied him for 33rd.  Teal was hot on his heals as he collected a score of 83.  

Junior Ian Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) was close to the other leaders as we registed a total of 84.  Brian Gallo was solid in his perforance as the Trumbll Conn. native talled a final score of 89 as he closed in 80th.

The Gulls are now off until Thursday as they travel to Veterans Memorial in Springfield, Mass. to take part in the Western New England Invitational.  The Invitational gets underway as first tee time is scheduled for 10 am.  Following that one day tournament, Endicott travels to Rhode Island on Saturday to compete in the Johnson & Wales Invitational which is a two day format.  The tournament is being held at the Cranston Country Club in Cranston, R.I.
