Echevarria Earns D3hoops.com All-Region Honors

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott senior guard Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) has been named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 2 Second Team, as announced by the organization earlier today.

The announcement marks Echevarria's first career All-Region award and fourth postseason award (2019-20 CCC Rookie of the Year; 2021-22 & 2022-23 All-CCC First Team).

In 27 games played (all starts), Echevarria averaged 19.6 points per game (42.4 FG%, 28.7 3PT%, 81.5 FT%), 2.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.3 steals in 33.9 minutes per contest.

Echevarria's conference ranks this season include the following categories/numbers: points (529, 2nd), points per game (3rd), points per 40 minutes (23.1, 7th), field goals made (188, 3rd), field goal percentage (23rd), three-pointers made (56, 6th), three-point field goal percentage (30th), free throws made (97, 5th), free throw percentage (6th), assists (80, 9th), and steals (34, 13th).

Nationally (D3), Echevarria positioned among the top-75 student-athletes in field goal attempts (445, 11th), field goals (56th), points (41st), points per game (54th), and three-point field goal attempts (195, 37th).

He also registered 10 or more points in 23 games, 20-plus points in 12 games, and 30 or more in three contests including a career-high 35 points against Suffolk on January 21, 2023.

Additionally, Echevarria led the Gulls in scoring in 16 out of the 27 matchups on the schedule this season.

Echevarria currently ranks fourth all-time in scoring at Endicott with 1,500 points in 85 games.

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott posted a 17-10 overall record and a 12-6 mark in league play. The Gulls advanced to the CCC Semifinals, eventually falling to tournament runner-up Western New England, 79-71.
