Men’s Basketball Storms Past UNE, 80-61

Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.), Jeff Hill (Lynn, Mass.), Mark Barrett (Brookline, Mass.), and Drew Brown (Pelham, N.H.) all scored in double figures for the Gulls.
Echevarria led all student-athletes with 18 points (6-16 FG, 5-5 FT).
Meanwhile, Hill, Brown, and Barrett followed with 16, 12, and 11, respectively.
Cam Homsey (Windham, N.H.) rounded out the list of individual highlights with eight points and a career-high 11 boards.
In the opening half, Endicott manufactured a 22-5 run to jump out to a 28-20 advantage with 6:13 remaining in the half, and never looked back.
The run was sparked by Brown (7), Hill (7), Tate Matte (Keene, N.H.) who had three points, Barrett (3), and Echevarria (2).
The Gulls saw their largest lead of the half balloon to 14 points (41-27) with 1:24 to play, which was ignited by an 11-2 run.
After the break (43-32), the Blue and Green maintained their momentum from the first stanza behind a 14-2 spurt to earn the largest advantage of the matchup, 74-46 (28 points), with 5:15 left to secure the conference road win.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott has won 15 of the last 17 meetings versus UNE.
- The Gulls set a new season-high for first-half points tonight (43).
- Endicott outscored UNE on the fast break, 13-2.
- The Gulls outrebounded UNE, 46-34.

Endicott (5-2, 3-0 CCC) travels to Salem State this Thursday at 5:00 PM. UNE (2-8, 0-3 CCC) visits NCAA Division I Merrimack College on Friday, January 9 at 7:00 PM.
