HARTFORD, Conn. — The Endicott men's basketball team defeated Framingham State, 85-65, on Saturday afternoon in the consolation game of the Trinity College Holiday Tournament at Oosting Gymnasium.
Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) led all scorers with 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field (3-for-7 3PT, 2-for-2 FT).
Drew Brown (Pelham, N.H.) also contributed a career-high 18 points behind a 6-for-6 showing from beyond the arc. Brown is the first student-athlete in program history to finish a contest with a perfect three-point field goal percentage with at least six made triples.
Jeff Hill (Lynn, Mass.) concluded the list of double-digit scorers for the Gulls with 16 points.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott took a 5-4 lead with 15:03 to play in the first half and never trailed the rest of the way.
- The Gulls led by as many as 20 points on three separate occasions (2nd, 15:27, 51-31 | 2nd, 1:40, 83-63 | 2nd, :36, 85-65).
- Framingham State brought the game within five points, 20-15, with 6:23 to go in the opening stanza, but Endicott closed out the half with an 18-11 run behind six different scorers.
- The Rams never brought the game under double-digits again after falling behind 32-21 with 2:39 remaining in the first half.
- Endicott is 10-3 all-time against Framingham State.

Endicott (7-3, 3-0 CCC) hosts conference foe Gordon College on Tuesday, January 3 at 7:30 PM. Framingham State (3-10) welcomes Bridgewater State to its campus next Wednesday at 5:30 PM.
