The Endicott men's basketball team pushed their record to 16-5(12-1 CCC) with a hotly contested 86-82 win at Curry College. Even though both teams played energetic, aggressive defense, each of them completed about half of their field goal attempts. The rebound battle was nearly even but the Gulls got to the line and knocked down 18 of 26 foul shots, compared to Curry's 13 of 17 from the line to help them to victory.
Four Curry players were double figure scorers including Tim Jones 20, Michael Mohrin 18, James Bartelle 17 and Raheim Lamb 16. Lamb and Bartelle each finished with 7 rebounds, while Mohrin and Jones had 4 assists.
Endicott reciprocated by having four double digit scorers in the match. Josh Oxton tallied 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Nemanja Marinkovic utilized a variety of post moves in getting 20 points, while corralling 7 rebounds. Zach Ellis nailed 4 treys en route to scoring 16 points and Matt George had 13 points and 3 steals. Todd Burton added 9 points and 6 rebounds off the bench.
The Gulls are back in action Tuesday night at 8pm when they travel to Wentworth, which kicks off the final week of the regular season.
