Beverly, MA-- The Endicott men's basketball team continued their winning ways behind another strong defensive effort and secured their 14th win of the season with a 92-49 victory over Eastern Nazarene. The Gulls jumped out to a 50-21 halftime advantage by holding the visitors to 38% shooting in the first half.
In the first half the Gulls also had three players in double figures including Josh Oxton who scored his 1,000 career point in front of an appreciative crowd. Eastern Nazarene was never able to mount a drive and Endicott cruised to the decisive win.
Eastern Nazarene's two top scorers were Edson Cardoso with 13 and Will Harvey with 10. Larry Kearney, their top scorer was held to 4 points by the Endicott defense.
Endicott used a team attack, scoring 32 field goals on 22 assists. Josh Oxton finished with 21 points. Zach Ellis had 14 points and 4 assists. Matt George scored 15, Nemanja Marinkovic pitched in 10 and Gary Corbett came off the bench with 11 points and 5 rebounds.
The Gulls are off until Saturday when they travel to the CCC south division leader, Curry College. The game tips off at 3:00 p.m.
