BEVERLY MA- Behind Josh Oxton's 26 first half points, the Endicott Men's basketball team provided the visitors from the University of New England very little opportunity for victory. Gary Corbett came off the bench to add 10 points in the first half. UNE managed to shoot nearly 50% in the first half but Endicott's depth and 43-20 rebound advantage, gave the home team a decisive win.
Though the game was not close after the first ten minutes, Mark Oliver 21 points, Mark Regis 17 points and Matt McManus proved to be difficult to defend on the perimeter as they combined for 8 three pointers.
For the Gulls, Oxton provided exceptional play scoring 36 points, grabbing 7 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists without committing a turnover. Gary Corbett finished with 12 points and Nemanja Marinkovic had 10 points in just 23 minutes.
Endicott takes the floor next on Thursday at home against Wentworth.
