Bridge Named College Sports Communicators Academic All-American

COLLEGE SPORTS COMMUNICATORS RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott senior running back Tyler Bridge (Wells, Maine) has earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-America® Second Team, as announced by the organization earlier today.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve (50 percent participation) and achieve a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or higher on a 4.0 scale at their current institution. The cumulative GPA cannot be rounded up to 3.50.

Additionally, a student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the time of nomination by the Sports Information Director (SID).

Bridge is the seventh College Sports Communicators Academic All-American in program history joining two-time honoree Craig Anderson '17 (Franklin, Mass.), Endicott Hall of Famer Michael Lane '12 (Medfield, Mass.), Mike Zupkosky '12 (Westford, Mass.)James Lewis '20 (New Fairfield, Conn.), and Riley Shanley '21 (Simsbury, Conn.) on the list.

Bridge currently sports a 4.0 GPA as a finance major. 

He was one of 10 honorees to boast a perfect 4.0 GPA on the 50-person Division III Academic All-America® squad and the only representative from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) among the group. 

In total, the Division III Academic All-America® team combined for a collective 3.88 GPA.


TYLER BRIDGE RESUME

Bridge's academic coursework during his time at Endicott includes financial modeling, business investments, project management, business analysis and research, TD Ameritrade investing, entrepreneurial finance, personal finance, and corporate finance, among others.

He has been able to utilize all of those experiences at his internship with Vector Marketing.

During his time with the company, Bridge boosted sales for the top-selling regional team, successfully performed sales representations, and grew the number of clients for his sales team through networking and referrals.

Bridge, who aspires to be a financial advisor in 10 years, is a three-time Dean's List honoree, a CCC Academic All-Conference award winner, and a member of the Endicott College Investment Club.

In 10 games played this fall, Bridge compiled 582 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 133 attempts.

His CCC ranks were as follows: rushes (3rd), yards (2nd), yards per game (58.2, 2nd), yards per rush (4.4, 4th), and touchdowns (6th).

Bridge eclipsed the 100-yard rushing plateau twice on the year, highlighted by career-highs for rushing attempts (31) and yards (117) against TCNJ on September 17.

Meanwhile, his second 100-yard rushing game came against Husson on October 1. 

Bridge found the back of the end zone twice to tie his career-high for rushing scores, which he accomplished the previous week against Norwich on September 24.

Bridge has played in 20 career games for the Gulls amassing 215 rushes for 908 yards, 45.4 yards per game (4.2 average), and seven touchdowns.

He completed his freshman year at Bates College before transferring to Endicott in 2020.


YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott won a program-record-tying 10 games and produced the first undefeated regular season in program history / CCC era. 

The Gulls also entered the national rankings for the first time in the 20-year existence of the program (2003-2022) behind one of the nation's best defenses, soaring as high as No. 22 in the rankings during the season.
