Football Earns Program-Best National Ranking Entering Saturday’s NCAA Matchup

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott football team continues to climb up the national rankings after securing the program's first-ever undefeated regular season (10-0, 6-0 CCC) last weekend.

Endicott has earned a program-best No. 22 overall ranking via D3football.com and solidified the No. 23 spot on the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll for the third straight week.

In addition to their national recognition, the Gulls saw a league record 20 student-athletes receive Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) postseason honors on Tuesday.

Head coach Paul McGonagle and Hector Johnson (Worcester, Mass.) headlined the group of honorees with major awards.

McGonagle was named the CCC Coach of the Year for the third time in his career, while Johnson took home CCC Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Lineman of the Year accolades, respectively.

WHAT'S NEXT

No. 22/23 Endicott (10-0) hosts Springfield in the first round of the NCAA Tournament this Saturday at 12 PM.
