Johnson Named CCC Defensive Player Of The Week

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott sophomore defensive lineman Hector Johnson (Worcester, Mass.) has received Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week accolades, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Johnson was part of a Gulls' unit that held WPI scoreless in a 24-0 win last Friday.

Johnson had a career day with six tackles (all solo) and four sacks for 28 yards. He also recorded his first-career field goal block.

Additionally, Johnson's four sacks tied for second all-time in program history.

The Gulls are now 2-0 on the season and have outscored their opponents 51-0 in that span.

This is Johnson's first career CCC Football Defensive Player of the Week award.
