Johnson Earns D3football.com Team Of The Week Honors

D3FOOTBALL.COM RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott sophomore defensive lineman Hector Johnson (Worcester, Mass.) has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his impact on special teams last Saturday against Curry (10/28).

Johnson scored his first career touchdown versus the Colonels last week with an electric 78-yard field goal block return to give Endicott a 14-0 lead in the second quarter.

After Nick Stinson (South Portland, Maine) perfectly timed the field goal block, Johnson scooped up the loose ball out of a scrum and broke multiple tackles during different parts of the return to eventually find pay dirt in the 48-7 win.

This is Johnson's second career D3football.com Team of the Week award (9/13/22).

The D3football.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, which is currently in its 24th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week.

Johnson was one of 26 student-athletes chosen to the D3football.com's weekly honor roll among all 240 NCAA Division III programs across the country.

Student-athletes are nominated by their school's sports information directors.

Johnson is one of 10 student-athletes in program history to receive D3football.com Team of the Week honors and the 13th overall selection (three student-athletes with two honors each).

Additionally, Johnson is the only student-athlete in program history to claim D3football.com Team of the Week accolades at two different positions (9/13/22, defensive line | 11/1/22, special teams).
