2021 Endicott Women's Volleyball Season Preview

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's volleyball team will open up the 2021 season tonight at home against the University of Southern Maine at 7:00 PM. Here's a preview of the upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Dating back to 2016, Endicott has won three of the last four Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) titles, the last of which came in a 3-0 sweep of rival Roger Williams on November 9, 2019.
  • Endicott returns a wealth of talent in 2021, bringing back five of the top six kill leaders from the 2019 campaign, including a trio of 2019 All-CCC Second Team members in Amanda Gilbert (Hopkinton, Mass.), Colleen McAvoy (Coventry, Conn.) and Nicole Winkler (Southborough, Mass.).
  • The 2021 campaign will be the 20th for head coach Tim Byram, who has compiled a career record of 402-284 at the helm of the Gulls. During his 21 seasons, Endicott has claimed seven CCC titles, and has won at a .829 clip in CCC play, going 150-31.
  • Endicott has seen a Gull earn CCC Player of the Year honors for five straight seasons, starting with Tori McIntyre '17 in 2015 and 2016, then Emma Mancini '19 in 2017, and Zoey Gifford '20 in 2018 and 2019.
  • In the last five years, the Gulls are a combined 51-15 (.785) while playing on their home court in MacDonald Gymnasium.
