BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team has claimed its fifth straight Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award for its efforts in the classroom during the 2017-18 year.

Additionally, Margot Andreasen (Portland, Maine), Alexandra Barmore (Southington, Conn.), Gillian Freter (Scituate, Mass.), Gretta Hartman (Glastonbury, Conn.), Emily Licciardi (Haverhill, Mass.), Clare O'Keefe (Lutz, Fla.), Sarah Pertile (Edgartown, Mass.), and Lauren Rahr (Waterford, Conn.) all earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition.

"As hard as this team works on the court in front of the coaching staff, earning themselves ITA All-Academic status yet again proves they work even harder off the court," said Endicott women's tennis head coach Jeremy Howard. "It's always fulfilling to see awards like this for a team that's truly deserving."

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2017 and spring 2018).

Meanwhile, in order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a student-athlete must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a GPA of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).
