BEVERLY, Mass. – The second-seeded Endicott women's tennis team will host third-seeded Roger Williams in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinals this Tuesday at 2 PM. Here's a preview of the playoff matchup.

PREVIOUS MEETING: Endicott defeated Roger Williams, 8-1, on the road on September 23. The Gulls swept all three doubles flights and used wins from Maxine Bergstein (Hingham, Mass.) and Hayley Barnett (Marlboro, N.J.) at No. 6 (6-1, 6-1) and No. 1 (6-3, 6-2) singles, respectively, to clinch the match. FULL RECAP – WOMEN'S TENNIS HANDLES ROGER WILLIAMS, 8-1

PLAYOFF HISTORY: Tuesday' meeting is a rematch of last season's CCC Semifinals, which Endicott won by a 5-1 score. Much like their matchup earlier this season, the Gulls topped the Hawks by taking all three doubles flights and used that momentum in singles with victories from Barnett and Margot Andreasen (Portland, Maine) to advance to the CCC Championship match against Nichols.

ENDICOTT (9-2, 7-1 CCC) | STATISTICS | SCHEDULE: Prior to their loss against Babson on October 5, the Gulls had won eight straight matches. Endicott also owns a 6-1 record at home this season headed into Tuesday's matchup.

ROGER WILLIAMS (11-3, 6-2 CCC) | STATISTICS | SCHEDULE: The Hawks enter play on Tuesday with a five-match winning streak. Roger Williams, who also is undefeated on the road this season, defeated No. 6 seed Western New England University, 5-0, to advance to the CCC Semifinals.

WHAT'S NEXT

The winner between No. 2 Endicott and No. 3 Roger Williams will face the winner of No. 5 Eastern Nazarene and No. 1 Nichols on Saturday, October 21 at the highest remaining seed. The time of the CCC Championship match will be determined after the semifinals results become final on Tuesday.
