Barnett, Hartman Claim CCC Weekly Awards

CCC WOMEN'S TENNIS WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's tennis student-athletes Hayley Barnett (Marlboro, N.J.) and Gretta Hartman (Glastonbury, Conn.) have both earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league office yesterday. Barnett was named the CCC Player of the Week, while Hartman garnered CCC Rookie of the Week accolades.

In a 9-0 win over Bridgewater State on Monday, Barnett picked up two wins for the Gulls at No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-1) and No. 2 doubles (8-5). Meanwhile, Hartman made a huge impact in her collegiate debut against the Bears with victories at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-0) and No. 1 doubles (8-4).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (1-0) will travel to Nichols College on Thursday, September to take on the defending Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) champions at 4 PM.

ABOUT THE COMMONWEALTH COAST CONFERENCE

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference comprised of ten full member and four associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The conference will administer championships in 18 intercollegiate sports starting in the 2017-18 academic year.
