BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott sophomore Hayley Barnett (Marlboro, N.J.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office earlier today.
Last week in matches from September 26 to October 2, Barnett earned four victories in Endicott's pair of conference wins against Western New England and Roger Williams.
Barnett only dropped four games playing in the No. 1 singles spot as she bested the top student-athletes from Western New England and Roger Williams by 6-0, 6-1, and 6-0, 6-3 scores, respectively. Barnett also went 2-0 as part of the Gulls' No. 2 doubles pair with teammate Margot Andreasen (Portland, Maine).
Endicott (8-3, 7-1 CCC) travels to Wheaton (Mass.) on Wednesday, October 5 for a non-conference match at 4 p.m.
