BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis program has been picked to repeat as Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) champions for the sixth straight season, as announced by the conference earlier today.
In a vote conducted by the league's nine head coaches, Endicott received 77 points including six first place votes to rank ahead of Nichols (68 points, 2 first place votes) and Roger Williams (67 points, 1 first place vote).
Gordon (58) checked in at fourth overall on the preseason coaches' poll, while Western New England (44) was tabbed fifth and Salve Regina (32) was slated sixth. Wentworth (27), Eastern Nazarene (20) and Curry (12) rounded out the rest of the CCC women's tennis programs on the list.
Endicott will begin its title defense at home on Thursday, September 1 against No. 15 regionally ranked Babson at 3:30 p.m. Following their match versus Babson, the Gulls open up CCC play versus Wentworth on the road at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 3.
