Women’s Tennis Competes At ITA Regional Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Four members of the Endicott women's tennis program competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships at MIT over the weekend.

Sophomores Hayley Barnett (Marlboro, N.J.) and Reilly Fitzgibbons (Killingworth, Conn.) both played in the opening round of the singles session of the tournament, while junior Maxine Bergstein (Hingham, Mass.) and senior Mackenzie Rhodes (Rye, N.H.) competed as a pairing in the doubles portion of the regional championships.

Barnett fell to Avery Wagman of Amherst by a 6-2, 7-5 score, and Fizgibbons dropped her match to Amarie Settiwongse of Nichols by a 6-1, 6-2 score.

Bergstein and Rhodes rounded out the group with an 8-3 loss to Pilar Geffenig and Maddie Rolph of Bowdoin in doubles.

Endicott (5-3, 4-1 CCC) hosts Eastern Nazarene this Saturday at 1 p.m.
