CCC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR THE WEEK OF OCT. 24 - OCT. 30

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Sophomore forward Sophia Cogliano (Saugus, Mass.) and freshman forward Julie Champigny (Acton, Mass.) earned Commonwealth Coast Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, for the week of October 24 - October 30, as announced today by the conference office.

CCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sophia Cogliano | So. | F | Saugus, Mass.

Cogliano, a two-time CCC Offensive Player of the Week this season, strung together an 11-point week to help the Gulls go 3-0, including 2-0 in CCC play. Cogliano earned her first career hat trick against Nichols before tallying one goal an one assist in a pivotal CCC matchup versus Western New England. Her game-winning goal in the 41st minute proved to be in the difference in the 2-1 victory that locked up the No. 2 seed for the Gulls heading into the postseason. Cogliano also registered her second multi-assist game of the season with two helpers against Salem St. and now leads the Gulls with 30 points (10 goals, 10 assists) this season as Endicott's top scorer for the past two years.

CCC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Julie Champigny | Fr. | F | Acton, Mass.

Champigny scored her first three career goals to earn her first career hat trick at Nichols. Champigny then added two more goals against Salem St. to bring her career total to five.

Endicott returns to action on Wednesday, November 2 as the Gulls host Western New England in the CCC Semifinals at 5:00 p.m.
