Women’s Tennis Claims ITA Academic Awards

ITA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM LIST | ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis program received its ninth straight Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award for its efforts in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.

Additionally, Angelina Ciardi (New Fairfield, Conn.), Brittany Dupuis (Hopedale, Mass.), Kaitlin Fitzgibbons (Nashua, N.H.), Lejla Guster (Wethersfield, Conn.), Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.), Olivia Martinelli (Coral Springs, Fla.), Ana Mar Molina (Sachse, Texas), and Ripley Uyeda (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) all earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:

  • have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
  • all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
  • all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:

  • have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
  • be listed on the institutional eligibility form

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott posted a 14-8 overall record and 6-1 mark in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play en route to capturing its eighth league title in program history with a 5-0 win over Roger Williams. 

The Gulls also advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in program history.
