BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team fell to NCAA Division I program Holy Cross, 5-2, on Thursday evening at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility.

Today's match was played in conjunction with NCAA Division I and II rules which only awards one point for winning the doubles portion of the match (best of 3, one point). This is in contrast to NCAA Division III rules which awards one point for each doubles flight won by a team.

Endicott took two of the three doubles matches, jumping the Gulls out in front 1-0.

The doubles pairings for Endicott featured Lejla Guster (Wethersfield, Conn.) / Ripley Uyeda (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) at No. 1 (6-4), Fernanda Trevino (Dallas, Texas) Olivia Berler (Marstons Mills, Mass.) at No. 2 (4-6) and Shelby Henry (Lincoln, Neb.) Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.) at No. 3 (6-2).

In singles play, Kaitlin Fitzgibbons (Nashua, N.H.) won a hard-fought match in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-5), 6-3, but the Gulls ultimately fell to Holy Cross by a final score of 5-2.
