Napolitano Records 200th Career Point; Women's Lacrosse Takes Care Of Nichols, 21-2

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's lacrosse team bested Nichols, 21-2, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium. 

Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.) led the way for the Gulls with four goals and three assists for seven points. Napolitano scored with 46 seconds left in the first quarter for her fifth point and 200th career point.

The graduate student is the ninth career student-athlete in program history to record 200 points or more in a career.

Along with Napolitano, 11 other Gulls scored, as Emerson Clark (Gloucester, Mass.) and Abbie Belleville (Salem, Conn.) both recorded hat-tricks. Jaira Paine (Granby, Conn.) and Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.) each tallied two goals, while Leah Black (Chesire, Conn.)Gilly Hartt (Old Saybrook, Conn.)Maggie Holt (Cumberland Foreside, Maine.)Katie Jones (Franklin, Mass.)Marin Kalamaras (Redding, Conn.)Grace McAfee (Marmona, N.J.), and Emily Typrowicz (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) all chipped in solo strikes to round out the scoring.

In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn) and Payton Quirk (Nahant, Mass.) split halves in cage, coming up with four and five saves apiece. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott remains undefeated in the all-time series versus Nichols (23-0).
  • First hat-trick of Belleville's career.
  • First career goal for Kalamaras.
  • Sixth game this season for Smith with two or more goals.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (5-5, 2-0 CCC) travels to Gordon on Tuesday, April 2 at 4 PM. Nichols (10-1, 1-1 CCC) visits Hartford on Wednesday, April 3 at 6:30 PM.
