Smith Nabs CCC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's lacrosse student-athlete Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Smith controlled the midfield in Endicott's victory over Wentworth, contributing on both the offensive and defensive ends of the field.

The sophomore three goals and a season-high five assists (eight points), while also winning four draw controls, scooping up four ground balls, and causing a turnover.

Scored two goals and had an assist in the opening quarter as Endicott raced out to an 8-1 lead.

This is the first time Smith has earned Defensive Player of the Week honors in her career.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (10-7) hosts Western New England on Wednesday, May 1 at 7:00 PM in the semifinals of the CCC Tournament.
