Gulls vs. AMCATS moved to Beverly
BEVERLY, Mass. – Thursday’s The Commonwealth Coast Conference women’s lacrosse game scheduled between Endicott College and Anna Maria College on Thursday, March 4th has been moved to Beverly, Mass. at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gulls will face the AMCATS in the season openers for both teams.

Endicott begins the pursuit of its fifth consecutive TCCC Championship this season. The Gulls were 15-5 overall in 2009, including a perfect 9-0 in conference games, before moving onto its fourth straight NCAA Tournament bid following a 12-4 win over Roger Williams in the TCCC Championship game. The Gulls eventually fell to Williams College, 19-9, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Blue and Green will look to \#Valerie Feldman\# (Albany, N.Y.) who led the team in goals (58), assists (27) and points (85) a season ago to carry the load for the Gulls.

Anna Maria joins The Commonwealth Coast Conference in women’s lacrosse for the first time this season. The AMCATS went 2-11 a season ago and posted wins over Daniel Webster and Simmons in its first inaugural season. AMC was led by sophomore Katie Schebel (Ludlow, Mass.), who was tops on the team in goals (34), assists (2), points (36), ground balls (33) and draw controls (38). Anna Maria will also return its second leading scorer, Amanda Hevy (North Brookfield, Mass.), who posted 16 goals and an assist in 2009.
