BANGOR, Maine – The Endicott softball team lost to Husson University, 12-4 (6 inn.), on Friday afternoon in game one of the NCAA Tournament at O'Keefe Field.

Endicott fell behind 9-0 after the first and never recovered despite a spirited comeback effort that was highlighted by a three-run second in response to the Eagles' offensive outburst to open up the contest.
Molly O'Neill (Shrewsbury, Mass.) was stellar in relief for the Gulls as the junior completed the final 5 1/3 innings. She scattered seven hits, allowed six runs (one earned), issued two free passes, and struck out two in her sixth appearance of the season and first since May 1.
Keelin Spencer (San Jose, Calif.) highlighted the offense out of the leadoff spot going 2-for-3 with three RBI and a walk.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORES
- Husson (28-1) evened the all-time series at 1-1 with today's win.
- The Gulls took the first-ever meeting 11-6 on May 8, 2009, which was also played in the NCAA Tournament.
- Jones improved to 13-0 on the season.
