Gulls Land Four On NFCA All-Region Teams

2021 NFCA DIII ALL-REGION RELEASE | ENDICOTT SOFTBALL ALL-REGION HISTORY

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott softball student-athletes Adrianna Favreau (Tewksbury, Mass.)Lauren Misiaszek (Londonderry, N.H.)Maria Hanchuk (South Windsor, Conn.), and Meghan Connor (St. Albans, Vt.), were named to the NFCA New England All-Region teams, the association announced last week. 

Favreau and Misiaszek were named to the first team, while Hanchuk and Connor were named to the second team. Additionally, four student-athletes is the most on this list for Endicott since, 2008. 


Adrianna Favreau | Sr. | 2B | Tewksbury, Mass. | All-Region First Team

The CCC Player of the Year earned her first All-Region nod with the announcement last week. 

The CCC First-Teamer currently leads the team in slugging percentage (.970), extra-base hits (15),  is tied for first in doubles (7), and ranks second in batting average (.530), RBIs (31), home runs (6), and hits (35). The former CCC Rookie of the Year is currently on a nine-game hitting streak and has compiled 11 multi-hit games up to this point. Meanwhile, in the CCC she ranks first in runs (32), total bases (64), on-base percentage (.605), and slugging percentage, and is second in home runs, RBI's, and batting average, and third in hits (35). 

Nationally, Favreau currently ranks, fourth in slugging percentage, 12th in on-base percentage, and 27th in batting average. 


Lauren Misiaszek | Jr. | OF | Londonderry, N.H. | All-Region First Team 

The junior outfielder has been impressive in her second season playing with the Gulls leading the team in batting average (.549), hits (39), doubles (7),  and triples (3). She ranks second on the Gulls on-base percentage (.549), slugging percentage (.901), and extra-base hits (14). Most impressively Misiaszek has only struck out once in 71 at-bats. In the CCC she ranks first in hits, doubles, triples, batting average, and fielding percentage (1.000) and ranks second in on-base percentage, and slugging percentage. 

Nationally, the CCC First-Teamer ranks 16th in batting average and 17th in slugging percentage. 


 Maria Hanchuk | So. | P | South Windsor, Conn. | All-Region Second Team

Hanchuk has been dominant in her first year against collegiate hitting. The sophomore lefty leads the Gulls in Earned Run Average (ERA), (0.29), wins (8), and strikeouts (72). In the CCC Hanchuk ranks first in strikeouts, strikeouts per game (10.29), batting average against (.144), and ERA, and is second in wins. Highlighting Hanchuk's individual performances this season were a 10 strikeout complete-game performance in a 13-0 win over Wentworth, and a 13 strikeout complete-game in a 4-0 win over Wentworth. Her 13 strikeout performance ranks tied for fifth all-time in a single game. 

Nationally, the CCC Pitcher of the Year ranks second in ERA, 10th in hits allowed per seven innings (3.43), and 15th in strikeouts per seven innings (10.3). 


 Meghan Connor | Fr. | C | St. Albans, Vt. | All-Region Second Team 

The CCC Rookie of the Year has had an impressive first campaign up to this point. She leads the team in home runs (9), and RBI's (33), is tied for second in extra-base hits (14), and is third in batting average (.412), hits (28), and slugging percentage (.882). Individually this season, the freshman has recorded a hit in every game but two, and at one point had a hit in 14 straight games. In the CCC the All-CCC first team member ranked first in home runs and RBIs. 

Nationally, Connor ranks fourth in home runs per game (.45), 20th in slugging percentage, and 22nd in home runs. 


WHAT'S NEXT 

The CCC Champions Endicott (19-2) will face off against Husson, in game one of the NCAA Division III Softball Regional in Bangor, Maine, Friday, May, 21 at 10 am.
