BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team (15-2, 11-1 CCC) will host the University of New England (6-5, 4-3 CCC) on Saturday for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pod B finals starting at 12 and 3 PM.
The two teams will play in a best two out of three format, if Saturday's game are split they will play on Sunday at 12 PM at Endicott, here is a preview of the series.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- This will be the first time these two teams have met this season.
- As a team, Endicott currently ranks first in the CCC in runs (165), RBIs (148), batting average (.382), on-base percentage (.457), slugging percentage (.576), ERA (1.77), shutouts (6), and batting average against (.234).
- UNE currently ranks second in the CCC in batting average against (.247), and ERA (3.24)
- The last time these two met in the CCC playoffs was in the 2019 CCC championship series where the Gulls swept UNE to earn their 11th CCC championship.
- Endicott is looking to make their third straight CCC championship series.
WHAT'S NEXT
The winner of the Pod B final between Endicott and UNE will face off against the winner of the Pod A final, between Nichols and Western New England in the CCC Championship.
