BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott Softball team opened their 2021 season with a pair of victories over Suffolk on Friday afternoon and the Gulls came away with a 15-1 win in game 1, and a 6-2 victory in game 2.
ENDICOTT 15 SUFFOLK 1
The Gulls jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first inning as both Lauren Misiaszek (Londonderry, N.H.) and Katie Terban (Georgetown, Mass.) singled. Misiaszek's single plated one run, while Terban's scored two.
Endicott then scored a combined ten runs in the third and fourth inning to earn the win in just five innings.
In the circle, Maria Hanchuk (South Windsor, Conn.) made her first collegiate start and earned her first career win with a strong five-inning, seven strikeout performance.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Today marked Endicott's first game since May 11, 2019 (691 days).
- Endicott now leads the all-time series over Suffolk, 9-4
- The Gulls were patient in the box drawing 11 walks.

This game was more of the same for Endicott as they jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the second inning through a Meghan Connor (St. Albans Vt.) single.
The Gulls then opened up their lead with three runs in the fourth highlighted by doubles by Keelin Spencer (San Jose, Calif.), and Katie Watts (Swampscott, Mass.).
Suffolk got two runs in the top of the sixth but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.
In the circle, Michaela Hamill (Lynn, Mass.) impressed with a complete game five strikeout performance.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Today marked Hamill's eighth complete game of her career.
- The Gulls were impressive at the plate with 12 hits in the game.
- Endicott got hits from five different batters in the lineup
- The Gulls hitters only struck out once.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (2-0, 2-0 CCC) and Suffolk (5-9, 3-3 CCC) will face off again tomorrow at Suffolk with first pitch scheduled for 12 PM.
